The deputy Namibian president Nangolo Mbumba says the government will meet again with their German counterparts to review the 18 billion Namibian dollar reparation payment because not all communities are happy with the negotiations. Mbumba says the affected communities, the government, and Namibians in general, must agree on the settlement. After nine rounds of negotiations over a seven-year period between 2015 and 2022, Namibia and Germany agreed on the text of a joint statement and an amount of 1.1 billion euros, which will separately compensate for existing aid programs over 30 years be, suitable.
