Nqobile Ngcobo, YouVersion South Africa Hub Leader, is passionate about helping people engage with God's Word in meaningful and life-changing ways. Her love for Scripture began during her high school years and has been shaped through years of ministry involvement.
A long-time user of the YouVersion Family of Apps, Nqobile joined YouVersion in 2025 as preparations were underway for the launch of the South Africa Hub in 2026. She was inspired by the ministry's vision of helping people in every country engage with Scripture in their own language, every day. Working alongside YouVersion Global, Nqobile leads the local team that partners with churches, ministries, media organisations, and content creators to support and amplify the Bible engagement momentum already taking place across Southern Africa. Drawing on local insights and relationships, the team helps shape how YouVersion serves users across the region, ensuring its family of apps remain accessible, relevant, and responsive to the realities of African communities.
Before joining YouVersion, Nqobile served as Regional Director of Product and Strategy at Alpha International, following earlier experience as a Relationship Manager at Mergon. She holds a degree in Geology. Based in Cape Town and originally from Durban, Nqobile is fluent in English, and isiZulu, bringing a multilingual voice to her work across Southern Africa. With South Africa ranking among the most engaged Bible App communities globally, she is encouraged by the growing hunger for Scripture across the region and is passionate about the opportunities technology creates to support digital discipleship.
