From Brokenness to Blessing: Lynette Badenhorst's 20-Year Ministry Journey Culminates in Major Worship Event

Twenty years ago, Lynette Badenhorst sat broken in her office when the Holy Spirit asked a simple question: "What do you have in your hands?" That conversation birthed Hadassah Ministries, which started with six friends blessing six children at House Belinda in Pretoria and has grown into a movement touching thousands across the Vaal Triangle.
"The hurt was not your fault, but to be healed is your responsibility," Lynette told host Carlett Badenhorst on JustGospel Radio. This philosophy has guided her ministry for two decades, from organizing community outreaches to counseling sessions where God taught her total dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Her journey took another dramatic turn in early 2024 when God called her to organize a worship event—completely free, with no collections. "Like Moses at the burning bush, I said 'Hineni'—yes Lord, I'm ready," she explains. Despite having no venue secured and facing significant financial requirements, Lynette stepped out in obedience.
The result? A sold-out outdoor worship event happening January 31st at Kuwis' venue in the Vaal Triangle, expecting 2,500 attendees plus 200 volunteer ministers from local churches. The event features worship leader Leon van Seel, Belief Worship Band, prophetic dance, baptisms, and a full program focused on four themes: Repent, Reset, Restore, and Revive.
Local businesses rallied behind the vision, with sponsors including Medful, Pro Fusion, Thomas Tyres, and MaxTops (Lynette's 15-year-old business). Food trucks, exhibitors, and even Midvaal Mayor Peter Teixeira will attend.
"This isn't just an event—it's about seeing signs, wonders, and souls saved," Lynette emphasizes. Attendees need only bring chairs, sunscreen, money for food, and one can of food to support local NPOs feeding the community.
Prayer teams are meeting at 4am daily leading up to the event. JustGospel Radio broadcasts live from 5pm, taking the worship global.
"God doesn't use perfect people," Lynette reminds listeners. "He uses those with cracks so His light can shine through."
