Franco Smith Jnr on sibling rivalry and family legacy at the Cheetahs

The brothers Franco and Jean Smith took sibling rivalry to the rugby pitch this past weekend when the Cheetahs’ took on the Sharks in the Currie Cup.

Franco told the Good Morning Breakfast that it was a very special moment when they played against each other on a professional level for the first time.

Franco Smith Jnr joined the Toyota Cheetahs last year and hopes to follow in his father and uncles foot steps. The 25-year-old is the son of the former Cheetahs and current Glasgow Warriors coach, Franco Smith, and the nephew of the former Free State flyhalf, MJ Smith.
