Yes, it's 2021 and this is still a topic to discuss following four women from Pietermaritzburg taking matters into their own hands. Having noticed the poor service delivery from their municipality, Sindi Luthuli, Ntombi Nkabini, Ntokozo Madlala and Gugu Kunene decided to fix the neighborhood’s potholes and clean blocked drains in their township of Imbali. This, according to society, is a ‘man’s job’ but these ladies have gone against societal norms which begs the question, are gender roles important in society or are they a complete bust?
