Matric Class of 2020 and University Applications

Matric Class of 2020 broke the record of number of learners to sit for the National Senior Certificate final Examination as there was more than a million. Given that this is a very large number of learners who sat for this exam, what options do they have as university receive a high number of university application which are triple and even more than the number of first entering students they can accept for 2021. We spoke to Educational Psychologist Dr. RJ Phetla about options available for those who do not get university entrance ? In one of his responses he spoke about how we spend time and energy encouraging them to go to school but now they may be out of options post matric, he also advised how we can support them.
