Bridget Seroka is the founder and managing director of Ecological Fields Environmental Consultancy. Ecological Fields (Pty) Ltd is a professional environmental consultancy that accomplishes projects in an eco-friendly, strategic, sustainable, and ethical manner. The company was formed in April 2016 and it is 100% black and woman-owned corporate. Bridget Seroka has over eight years’ experience in Environmental Management in both the mining and the consulting sectors. Her journey and passion in the Environmental sphere started back in high school when she was chosen to represent her high school (S J van der Merwe THS) in Environmental Projects and Presentations. She then followed her passion by enrolling at the Tshwane University of Technology, where she studied Environmental Science and Geology. After completing her studies, she worked at Anglo American Thermal Coal in Mpumalanga and other environmental consultancies, where she saw a niche between Business Entities, Social Responsibilities, Environmental Education and Environmental Regulations, which encouraged her to open her own Environmental firm which aims to carters for the deficit. Ecological fields have grown sustainably over the past years with clients in the mining, treatment plants, and other companies.
Bridget has been involved in business and project management of various types of Mining related and EIA projects. This includes liaising with other in-house consultants, clients, specialist teams, external consultants, and service providers to ensure that project outputs are delivered on time, and according to project requirements. Responsibilities include:
Coordinating and facilitating public participation processes /stakeholder engagement, Ambient air monitoring, and dust fallout monitoring, including report writing.
