Ebenezer Dam Declining – water restrictions and water rationing to be implemented. Water supply to Polokwane is received from five sources with the main sources being Olifantspoort, Ebenezer Dam, Dap Naude Dam and Seshego Dam. The other two are boreholes systems. These sources provide a combined 50.6ML per day to the city,urban and rural areas. Reduced operations at the Ebenezer Plant, Low rainfall over a period is now threatening freshwater supply from the Ebenezer Dam as it is now running below 13% of its full capacity. The average daily water supply from this scheme has reduced from 36 Ml/d to 20Ml per day. This has resulted in the water supply shortfall increasing from 30 Ml/day to 47 Ml/d.
