News of an interdict being granted against a truck drivers strike over employment of foreign nationals made news on Tuesday afternoon. A group of truck drivers had called for a national strike to protest against claims that foreign nationals are employed by the industry instead of local drivers.

Two KZN truck drivers who would both like to remain anonymous have shared their frustration. One of the truck drivers is a foreigner who stresses that he is not taking the job of a working South African truck driver. Whilst the other truck driver who expresses himself in a short clip using his mother tongue, Isizulu shares in an emotional undertone that he has been working as a truck driver for 9 years and he is currently without work because his spot has been taken by someone less experienced then him.
