Thank you for listening to the TechCentral podcast. In this episode, Duncan McLeod chats to Sithembiso Khumalo, CEO of the start-up Lepsta, which is developing a blockchain-based version control and code syncing service that helps developers spend more time coding and less time managing code by automating their code management workflows.
Khumalo, who grew up in rural KwaZulu-Natal without direct access to computers, is a self-taught developer who started Lepsta with his friend Nkosana Mabuza.
The founders, who met at university while studying information science, have a great story to tell about pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, and how they got a big break from Cape Town’s RSAWeb. They now have ambitions of going global, and have already established a commercial office in the US.
In the podcast, Khumalo goes talks about the idea behind the platform, called EngineOne, and how it works. He talks about the company’s investors and how it’s been funded as well as its ambitious expansion plans.
It’s a great podcast. Don’t miss it!
