Dakar Rally 2018 - Stage 5 report

Following the lows of Stage 4, the toyota Gazoo Racing SA outfit experienced highs in Stage 5. Bernard Ten Brinke, Giniel de Villiers and Nasser Al Attiyah finished 2nd, 3rd and 5th respectively, by team principal Glyn Hall admits it was very tough out there.

Ten Brinke is now third overall - just over 1 hour and 15minutes behind overall leader Stephane Peterhansel, While his teammate Sebastien Loeb, Who went into the stage in second place, dropped out.

The teams now cross borders as they head to the Bolivian captain La Paz during the 331km 6th Stage

The race is still on in South America - with Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa occupying positions 3,4 and 5 overall as we near the halfway mark.
