Handel’s magnificent oratorio MESSIAH is a perennial favourite over Holy Week and Easter and this year The Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town will be performing the work on Good Friday and
Easter Sunday at the City Hall. On the conductor’s podium will be the South African singer, voice teacher and conductor Vetta Wise. Vetta is based in London but spent many years in her home town Cape Town teaching at Rondebosch Boys.
