Cape Town Opera has a hugely exciting year of productions planned for 2016, beginning spectacularly with a production of Richard Strauss’s sensuous and debauched opera Salome. In the People of Note studio this week, Rodney Trudgeon will be talking to the newly appointed Artistic Director of Cape Town Opera Matthew Wild who will be the director for Salome. Matthew is regarded as an exciting, edgy director who has directed a number of operas for Cape Town Opera as well as the Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret and West Side Story for the Fugard.
