South Africa suffered its driest year on record last year, the SA Weather Service announced last week, as the drought showed no sign of abating. Average rainfall was 403mm, about a third less than the 608mm annual average and the driest since records were kept in 1904. OFM News’ Refilwe Gaeswe compiled this report.
