Fresh and Thato spoke to Multidisciplinary artist, Architect, Businesswoman and Lecture in the Architectural at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Nindya Bucktowar on her life story, going from drawing factories to owning one, juggling four businesses, redefining balance, and the moment she bet on herself. Today, alongside partner Nikhil Tricam, Nindya runs an entire business ecosystem: Kalki Ceramics, a factory producing high-end ceramic surfaces; Studio Kalki, a design house spanning architecture, interiors and furniture; her personal art practice, Nindya Ceramics; and a leather studio. With accolades like the Nando's Hot Young Designer, RMB's Talent Unlocked, an ANNA Award shortlist, and exhibitions in South Africa and France.
