From Dad to Dakar: Alex TorrĂŁo Is Chasing the Dream of a Lifetime

A Johannesburg dad is proving that growing up does not mean giving up on the dreams you carried as a kid.

Alex TorrĂŁo is a father of three, an entrepreneur and the man behind #DAD2DAKAR, an incredible journey to qualify for one of the toughest motorsport events on the planet, the Dakar Rally.

Between school runs, family time and business meetings, Alex is training and competing in major rally events across the world, all with one goal in mind: getting to that Dakar start line.

But this story is about so much more than racing. Alex says it is not about winning Dakar, but about knowing he never gave up on a dream he has carried since he was young.

And perhaps that is the reminder we all need today. Dreams do not have an expiry date, and Alex is proving that with a plan, a lot of hard work and the courage to start, we really can make them real.
