A healthcare lifeline for thousands of military veterans is hanging by a thread. The Democratic Alliance is demanding urgent answers after revelations that the SA Military Health Service fund is on the brink of collapse. Just 3.5% funded, with a monthly shortfall of R40 million - and now dipping into its own reserves to stay afloat. Around 36,000 beneficiaries could be affected if nothing changes.
