The Proteas surged to the top of Group D with a commanding seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in Ahmedabad in a pivotal ICC T20 World Cup clash on Saturday night.
The win over the ever-dangerous Black Caps moved South Africa to six points on the log and all but guaranteed their place in the Super 8s, with one group match – against the United Arab Emirates – still to come.
After the emphatic win, Markram said it felt like a far more complete performance compared to their nervy outing against Afghanistan.
