So they film these funny but also tense interactions. It's ridiculous but it also highlights the issues of courtesy and responsibility in public spaces. There is also something called shopping cart theory which basically states returning a shopping cart to its proper spot is the ultimate, low-stakes litmus test for someone's morality and self control.
