South Africa continues to face one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world, with millions of young people unable to access stable work, skills development, or meaningful economic opportunities. In response to this crisis, young people across the country have organised the National Unemployment Youth March, scheduled for 26 January 2026. The march aims to force urgent action from the Government of National Unity (GNU), the private sector, and all stakeholders.
