The OPUS Cactus Research Centre, just outside Bloemfontein, recently opened. Research is done on the possibilities of producing biofuel and other useful products from the Prickly Pear plant or "turksvy" as we know it. Isabel van Tonder speaks to Tony Dean, Co-founder of the project.
