Radio Pulpit Heart to Heart

The Julias Malema Court Sentence.

Loading player...
Lukho Mkwedi Phuthi wraps up the show with the only Radio Lawyer, Mr SK Pholoso, discussing the recent court sentence involving Julius Malema. Malema was found guilty of reckless endangerment for discharging a firearm in public during the EFF's fifth anniversary rally in 2018. The court postponed sentencing until January 2026. Malema appeared unfazed by the ruling, calling going to prison a "badge of honour" and stressing the need to remain fearless for the sake of the revolution. The case sparked national debate due to Malema's controversial political stance and rhetoric. The verdict reflects ongoing issues of law and order in South Africa's political landscape.
