Jones Netshipise and Mpho Mashita talk to Clinical Psychologist, Thabang Tlako about the Electra complex - a psychological concept, proposed by Carl Jung, that describes a girl's psychosexual development phase where she experiences an unconscious desire for her father and feelings of rivalry toward her mother; and the Oedipus complex - which describes a child's unconscious desire for the opposite-sex parent and rivalry with the same-sex parent during a particular stage of psychosexual development.
