The 2025 Jazz Wise Youth Music Business Workshop, part of the renowned Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival, is set to take place on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at the Joburg Theatre from 8:00am. Designed as a platform for career development, the workshop brings together aspiring creatives with seasoned industry leaders through panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking sessions. Targeted at high school, college, university students, and young professionals aged 20–25, the event aims to equip Mzansi’s next generation of arts professionals with the skills and connections needed to thrive in the music industry.
The sessions cover topics such as purpose, profit and law, marketing technologies, artistic expression, and global career opportunities, offering participants a comprehensive insight into the creative economy. Among the notable speakers is DJ, promoter, and producer Kenneth Nzama, popularly known as DJ Kenzhero.
Known for his unique blend of hip-hop, soul, funk, and jazz, Kenzhero seamlessy flows different sounds together. His talent goes beyond DJ as he is also a promoter, music producer and owner of Untitled Restaurant.At this year’s Jazz Wise Youth Music Business Workshop, he will be one of the panellists on the topic, “Art of Booking”.
