Being literate isn’t just about reading novels or passing exams. It’s about being able to decode the world around you. It’s about understanding a job contract before you sign it, catching the fine print on a bank loan, or spotting when someone is trying to scam you with a fake SMS. Literacy is a shield against exploitation.
