Bloemfontein-based Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Marumo Gallants can breathe a huge sigh of relief after being hit with a hefty fine for fielding an ineligible player during the 2024/25 season—rather than facing points deductions or expulsion.
However, on Thursday, Gallants pleaded guilty before the DC and were fined R200,000—half payable immediately, and the remaining R100,000 suspended for 24 months, provided the offence is not repeated during that time.
