Today on Creative Spaces, we’re spotlighting a producer
and DJ who’s reshaping the sound of South African
dance music — straight from the heart of Limpopo. Born
Humphry Nakampe Malatsa in Bokgaga Village, Snaka is
a genre-pushing artist known for his bold, percussive
take on Lekompo — a street-rooted sound that he’s
helped modernize for mainstream ears.
And he’s back with what might be his biggest release yet
— “Le Ska Nthoma”, featuring the powerhouse vocals
of Shandesh and legendary house producer Bongo
Beats. Dropping 4 July 2025, this highly anticipated
single is already generating major hype for its fusion of
lyrical edge, deep rhythm, and dancefloor energy.
With co-signs from the likes of King Monada and
collaborations lined up with Xduppy, Tshego, and
Maglera Doe Boy — Snaka is on a mission to take
Limpopo’s music to the world.
