Rumé Burger - Representing South Africa at African Champs

Die tiener-naellopersensasie van Bloemfontein, Rumé Burger, sal later vandeesmaand haar staal op internasionale vlak kan toets tydens die CAA Afrika onder 18 en onder 20-kampioenskappe in Nigerië.
Burger, wat tans die senior Suid-Afrikaanse kampioen in die 200 m is, is ingesluit in die nasionale span vir die kampioenskappe en sal in die U18-halwebaannaelloop deelneem.
In Mei het die 17-jarige Burger die land verras toe sy die goue medalje in die 200 m vir vroue by die ASA Senior Baan- en Veldkampioenskappe in Potchefstroom gewen het met ’n tyd van 23.49 sekondes.
Burger het aan OFM Sport gesê dit is ’n groot droom en voorreg om haar land te verteenwoordig.
Die Afrikakampioenskappe in Abeokuta vind van 16 tot 20 Julie plaas.
