In an effort to combat the rise in addictions and overdoses seen on the prairies, Alberta's provincial government has tabled an involuntary drug treatment act. The Compassionate Intervention Act, if passed, could see adults and children mandated into treatment if they are deemed to be a risk to themselves or others. Alberta Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Dan Williams, joins Evan to share how this act would be implemented in the province.
