The teenage sprint sensation from Bloemfontein, Rumé Burger, is feeling blessed and humbled after winning her first-ever gold medal at the 2025 ASA Senior National Track & Field Championships in Potchefstroom.
The 17-year-old Free State speedster stunned South African on Saturday in the final on the women’s 200m sprint at the McArthur Stadium to clinch gold in an outstanding effort to outclass not one, but both favourites for the title.
Burger told OFM Sport she he blessed and humbled.
