Concern over high pupil dropout rate
Four out of every ten pupils who enrol in Grade 1, exit the schooling system before finishing matric.
This is just one of the concerning findings of the Schools Dropout 2024 survey.
The main reasons are pregnancy, drug abuse, financial struggles, gangsterism and bullying.
