Jesus did not hide his face; He lost his identity, so we could gain our identity in Him.
Confession:
"Thank You Jesus, that You didn't hide Your face when You went to the cross. As the soldiers plucked out Your beard and beat your face, You lost Your identity, so that I could have an identity in Christ., The blood that was shed from Jesus' face absorbs all my self-consciousness, sensitivity to opinions, fear of man, rejection, where I've been ashamed and felt inadequate. Where I've been oppressed by insecurity, low self-esteem and depression, the Blood of Jesus cancels it right now and replaces it with a God consciousness, a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. I will Fear God. I am accepted, confident in Him, complete, secure, lacking nothing. I have a healthy esteem in Christ in Jesus' name, Amen."
