Another court case looming against SAPS over 'starving' zama zamas

Lawyers for Human Rights has vowed to take SAPS to court if it continues denying food, water and medication to hundreds of zama zamas underground at a disused Stilfontein mine.The organisation is preparing to launch it's papers urgently as they are worried about the physical and health conditions of those underground who wanted to exit the mine. This comes after an application by the Society for the Protection of Our Constitution, which advocated for food, water, and medication to be sent to illegal miners, was dismissed in the High Court in Pretoria. Phemelo speaks to attorney at Lawyers for Human Right Mametlwe Sebei.
