Many smallholder farmers in Gauteng and across the Gauteng City Region (GCR) often face serious difficulties in accessing markets for a variety of reasons. The Gauteng Agriculture and rural department has introduced an egg aggregation packhouse solution to ensure that smallholder farmers and SME AgriProcessors receive the necessary support as well a platform to access markets more effectively by aggregating produce and reducing the cost of infrastructure.
