The Sharks are confident and upbeat heading into this weekend’s Currie Cup final against the Lions in Johannesburg.
The Sharks qualified for the final despite playing to a 40-40 draw against the Bulls in the semi-finals. This was due to the team from Durban having scored more tries.
The Lions in turn beat the then defending champions, the Toyota Cheetahs 43-34 in a thrilling semi-final.
The former Springbok captain, Warren Whiteley, who is the Sharks assistant coach said it will be special returning to his old home ground.
