A tribute to Mapaputsi: The last time South Africa saw and heard him

A kwaito legend, a maestro of a genre that shaped South African music to where it is in the late 90's and early 2000s. Born Sandile Ngwenya known to many as 'Mapaputsi' took his last breath on Thursday 5 September 2024.
According to a statement from his family, Mapaputsi met his untimely death after a short illness. The family would like to request for some space and privacy in processing the news and making plans for his burial and memorial service.
