Hiking the Fish : "There's no substitute for preparation"

Adventurers on the Fish River Canyon hike are being urged to carry as much water as they can.

A two-year drought in Namibia has left the canyon short of water.

While park officials have set up re-supply points the rugged terrain means these are few and far between, and unprepared hikers could face trouble.
