I am a Rhodes University postgraduate student in the Department of Music and Musicology. In this transdisciplinary project, my task as the Sound Engineer is to facilitate and oversee all audio technical endeavours. I am part of a team that does audio recordings, videography and editing. We explore the relationship between nature, music, and culture and that includes the documenting and preservation of the indigenous knowledge of the Hamburg community which is known for its weaving of the imizi amongst other things. The sound I present is something that I mixed after our first workshop together in 2022.
