Madiba’s Houghton Home Abandoned

Nelson Mandela's house on 12th Avenue in Houghton remains neglected and stands deserted and overgrown. It is also marred by family disputes. It is reported that Madiba’s grandkids, who used to occupy the house, moved out because they couldn’t pay for the utility bills. Sizwe Dhlomo and Sol Phenduka shared their thoughts on this story. They pondered on whether it is too harsh to judge the grandkids for not being able to cover the maintenance costs of the house.
