Swiss Harpist, Andreas Vollenweider talks the Joy of Jazz Festival on Kofifi FM 97.2

The Joy of Jazz Festival is fast approaching, takes place in Johannesburg on the 29th and 30th of September.

The exciting line up this year features Andreas Vollenweider who is a Swiss harpist and is categorised as a new-age musician and uses a modified electroacoustic harp of his own design.

He has worked with Bobby McFerrin, Carly Simon, Luciano Pavarotti just to name a few.

Has sold over 15 million records , received Grammy Award, recorded 19 albums, an international concert activity of more than 500 concerts in the most prestigious auditoriums such as: Carnegie Hall New York, Radio City Music Hall, The Palladium London, and many more.

His musical style is described by The New York Times as "swirling atmospheric music, which evokes nature, magic and fairy tales”
