The New Water Polo Season with Referee Lee Keet

Summer is on its way and summer sports are returning to schools across the country.

Over the past weekend, U16 girls from several schools were in action at Durban Girls' College for the DGC U16 Water Polo Tournament. At the tournament, Alex caught up with Lee Keet, a teacher, former national player and current international water polo referee, to get some insight ahead of the season.

They discuss Lee's career, what she thinks needs to change for water polo to grow in South Africa and how she got into refereeing. Alex and Lee geek out over the rules and instructions of water polo and Lee explains why there have been a few changes recently.

Alex is also surprised to learn the difference between referees and umpires.

Finally, Lee has a go at the quiz to see if she can beat her sister, Marcelle's score of 8.
