The Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, (IDC) is urging young people to become industrialists, and take full advantage of the various funding mechanisms that the IDC can support them with. He said: “The IDC recognises that the youth are authors of change and in charge of their own destiny. We encourage them to challenge the status quo and aim to participate meaningfully in the economy’s priority sectors such as mining, agriculture, and manufacturing. These are some of the key sectors that can unlock tremendous economic benefits for the youth, and combat the current high rate of unemployment amongst the youth”.
