Benjamin Jeptha introduces his new projejct " Born Colored, Not Born Free" on Kofifi FM 97.2

Benjamin Jeptha has made name for himself as one of South Africa’s premier double and electric bass players.
A graduate of the Jazz programme in Cape Town in 2013 and has performed both nationally and internationally with notable South Africa Jazz musicians.
Benjamin has received many nominations and awards which include the prestigious Standard Bank Young artist award for Jazz and has also been named by the Mail and Guardian, one of the Top 200 Young South Africans.
Benjamin has 2 albums under his belt, “ Home Coming and The Evolution of an Undefined” and now introduces his next one “ Born Colored, Not Born Free”
The compositions draw musically from traditional South African styles such as the Ghoema/Cape Jazz and Marabi music as well as modern African music idioms such as Gqom (a style of ‘house’ music), including kwaito and hip-hop.
