• In 2020 we had that famous tweet from the then minister of health Dr Zweli Mkhize that read: “the patient is a 38 year old male who travelled to Italy with his wife. they were part of a group of 10 people that arrived back in South Africa on march 1 2020. ”This signalled the beginning of lockdown and covid conspiracies. Right now being march we are dealing with the spread of cholera.
• This past weekend Kenya had a national blackout with electricity returning yesterday. According to Kenyan media reports, certain areas were still experiencing power interruption even after the Sunday restoration.
• A 11-year-old boy in sixth grade addressed the school committee to complain about a book he found in the school library that was rather too graphic and reported it to his father.
What is your take as a parent? do you think sex education should be introduced in primary schools or lefft for when the children are a little grown, and why?
