The wool industry is ecstatic after China’s announcement that it has decided to lift the ban on the import of wool from South Africa. The announcement came almost five months after China first announced the ban at the beginning of April. The ban was implemented due to outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in South Africa.
