Questions are mounting as to whether the South African Special Risk Insurance Association (Sasria) has the capital to pay out claims related to the violence, carnage and looting that rocked Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal businesses this week. Sasria is South Africa’s only short-term insurer that offers cover against damages and losses from unrest/protest action.
